Lobbyist Mario Castillo for San Angelo Standard-Times

On an early friday morning in mid January, I had the opportunity to photograph Mario Castillo in his Washington DC home and at the Lincoln Memorial for an article for San Angelo Standard-Times newspaper.  They were doing an article about his work as a lobbyist for non-profits. He was very photogenic and we bonded quickly over our love of art.

  1. Mario,
    Sir,
Read an article in the San Antonio Newpaper this weekin and you commented on the mayor from San Angelo and a Mr. Smith.
I am from San Angelo, Born and raised and individuals like the ex mayor are not on my specality list and or like list. They come to school and then in a matter of months, they know everything and want to impose their ill moral values and non christan and illegal views on us. It is this individuals that i.e. (50 miles form the border in the colonias) their is no restriction on the sewage and/or utilities for housing. They don't have to take a leak in other words and while cities like Austin, Dallas, etc. have very restrictive laws for sewage. Also, Mr. Smith from SA is the one getting all the bills to get technical individuals form India, etc. while the millions of Mexican Amerians in San Antonio are excluded, the one's he represents. In other words, he goes 6000 miles to bring in workers, while our own are just a few blocks away. Why not train them, why is our education considered inferior, I'll tellyou why. Money.
